The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign offers the opportunity for students to pursue educational pre-professional goals in the following areas: Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Veterinary Medicine. This can be done at the time of application or can be declared after enrollment at UIUC.
It is important to note that educational goals are not majors offered at UIUC. Instead, students will have access to specific advisors to help prepare for their post-undergraduate goals, while completing all necessary coursework in their intended major. Applicants interested in a pre-professional program should plan to complete the coursework identified as necessary for their pre-professional interest during their academic career. However, admission to UIUC will be based upon the applicant’s intended major.
Additional information regarding pre-professional programs can be found on the Course Catalog website.
