James Scholar Honors Program
If you’re interested in being considered for the College of Media James Scholar Program, we encourage you to review our admission requirements. Students who have at least a 3.75 transfer GPA at the time of their admission to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign are invited to join the program. You should inform your academic advisor during New Student Registration about your interest in joining. Note that you must complete at least one honors project each academic year and a minimum of five projects total to graduate as a James Scholar. The fifth project must be completed during the fall term of your graduation year, regardless of your graduating semester (fall, spring, or summer). When transferring into the program, you’ll need to make up as many honors activities as necessary in order to graduate with a minimum of five projects.
