Strong science coursework is critical for Dance & Kinesiology majors. Science coursework and academic progress in this coursework is an important consideration for admission into Dance & Kinesiology due to the nature of this degree.
Please note that students applying to this dual degree program must earn a minimum of 158 credit hours and complete all degree requirements for each individual major. Due to the number of credit hours required, it may take extra time beyond the traditional four years to complete the requirements for earning the two undergraduate degrees. Therefore, it is highly advised to transfer after the first year to begin the sequencing of dance and kinesiology courses. The University of Illinois’ Dance curricula sequences begin in the fall semester; consequently, transfers are strongly encouraged to apply for fall enrollment.
