Systems Engineering & Design

If you’re interested in completing a major, including a dual degree, in The Grainger College of Engineering, you must apply and be admitted directly into the college at time of transfer. Transfer students entering other colleges on campus are not eligible for later admission/on-campus transfer to Grainger Engineering, including Engineering Undeclared.

Admissions Requirements

If you are entering UIUC with 50 or more credit hours and haven’t met the requirements listed below, please be aware that it will take you longer to graduate.

GPA

It is expected that applicants to this program will have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (A = 4.0). However, the average transfer GPA for admitted students is 3.86, with the middle 50% of GPAs ranging from 3.78 to 4.0.
